A victim is someone who has been hurt, attacked, bullied or had something stolen from them. For example, someone who has had their bag stolen on the way to school is a victim.

What is a witness?

A witness is someone who has told the police about something that has happened. It might be something that they know or they have seen. For example, someone who has seen a person breaking a car window and stealing CD’s is a witness.
